Arabesque Bellydance

In 1991 Asia formed Asassara a troupe which performed dances based on ancient cultures, rituals and mythology. In 1994 this group grew into Henna Tawi who performed for the San Francisco Film Festival, the San Francisco Opera Gala for Aida, the J. Paul Getty Passage to India party and many other San Francisco venues. In 1998 she moved to Ann Arbor Michigan and taught middle eastern dance at the University of Michigan. She moved back to California in 2000 and began teaching belly dance at the Downward Dog Yoga Studio in Pacifica CA. where she currently teaches seven classes a week. Downward Dog Yoga Studio is the home of Arabesque Troupe and musicians.

Pat Wilder

Jinx Jones

Jinx Jones honed his musical skills on the burgeoning Denver original music scene of the 1970’s and 1980’s. With brief stints in both Los Angeles and Houston, Jones’ studied music in concert halls, nightclubs, and theaters throughout the United States. In 2001, Jinx Jones released his first solo CD, ‘License to Twang’ which received stellar reviews from national magazines such as Guitar Player, Vintage Guitar, and Blue Suede News. He has appeared on National Public Radio and remains a popular attraction in the California market.

Orquesta D’Soul

Orquesta d’Soul is a band that prides itself on delivering both original high-energy latin dance music and soulful R&B grooves. The pop delivery and style of the songs is unique due to the inclusion of folkloric Caribbean rhythms. This eight piece group, led by trumpeter, singer, and composer Marina Garza, ignites a new feel and flavor that inspires people from all walks of life to get up and dance. The all-female front line delivers a rich show that combines dance moves and lyrics in three languages: English, Spanish, and Japanese.
