Pacific Coast Fog Fest
2nd Annual Sand Castle and Sand Sculpture Contest

We are thrilled to announce that we will once again feature our annual Sand Castle and Sand Sculpture Contest after its huge success last year. This is a chance for your business, family, group or organization to use your creativity, have fun, enjoy the sun and build the sand castle of your dreams during the Pacific Coast Fog Fest. No experience is necessary and amateur teams are welcome!

Family/friend teams, community organizations and school groups can enter the contest free of charge.  Business entries and sponsorships are $250 which will go to cover event expenses. 

The sponsoring businesses will receive on-site advertising that last through the weekend on the Sand Castle Contest Sponsors Wall.  The Sponsors Wall attracts the full traffic of over 80,000 Fog Fest attendees as the creations are being built on SAturday and the winners are announced on Sunday. There will also be acknowledgments during the festival and in public announcements in Peninsula newspapers. The Fog Fest is regularly attended by over 80,000 people every year and is a premier event for the peninsula.  Business entries can field their own team or can sponsor a non-business contest entry.   If you have any questions please contact the contest coordinator at: samuelcasillas@hotmail.com

Prizes will be awarded to the top three winners to include cash prizes and ribbons.

The number of Entries will be restricted, so sign up quickly!  The deadline is September 1st, 2010 and entries will be considered on a first come basis once your entry form has been received and if you are a business once your fee is received.

The contest starts at 11:00 am on Saturday September 25th and the structures must be finished by 5:00 pm that day.  Winners will be announced Sunday September 26th at 12:00pm.  The public can view the entries as they are being built and until the Fog Fest ends at 6:00pm on Sunday when chilren will be encouraged to take down the castles!
